Welcome

Allyship is a practice and a journey. It becomes something that you are, as part of your identity. This is a platform to lift Indigenous voices and a space for safe curiosity for Indigenous and non-Indigenous alike. Our founder shares her journey, inviting you all to ask questions and learn alongside us.

By centring Indigenous voices, An Indigenous Ally is on a mission to educate the West about Indigenous experiences and lives to inspire acceptance, respect, and decolonisation.

Our core values are:

Kindness - Put simply, it brings out the best in us. Being kind is the first step towards learning about and accepting others.

Transparency - Openness and honesty are vital for gaining trust. If we make a mistake, we'll own up to it.

Community - We want everyone to feel welcome here. This space is non-judgemental as we're all here to learn.

If you have any questions or would like to make a recommendation, please reach out. We'd love to hear from you.

Meet the Team

While this started out as a one-woman project, we have expanded to include other allies who care about making change and are actively decolonising their minds and lives.
